Museums Open Doors to Active Duty and Their Families
Blue Star Museums is the collaboration between the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, and the Department of Defense to help enrich the lives of active duty military members and their families.
They are offering free admission for active duty members and up to 5 family members at participating museums across the country. Over 2000 museums have signed up to open their doors to service members from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Summer is coming soon and there really is nothing better than having an emergency plan for getting the kids out of the house when your area gets a streak of summer rain. Free museum admission also makes a great date night to enjoy with your service member.
Even if your service member is deployed, you can still take advantage of this deal. With proper ID, dependents can reap the benefits of open doors to a wide range of museums across this great nation. With no limitations to number of museums you can visit, take advantage of this offer even when visiting new cities or old friends.
